History

  • Amcor's history traces back to 1868 when Samuel Ramsden, a migrant from Yorkshire, built a paper mill on the south bank of the Yarra River

  • The company listed on the ASX in August 1969

  • Australian Paper Manufacturers changed it's name to APM and eventually to Amcor in 1986

  • Amcor separated its paper making business in April 2000

  • Amcor demerged its fiber, glass and beverage can packaging business on December 2013 to focus on rigid and flexibles packaging operations
